A standard BMS regulates & manages the voltage and temperature of the battery during use, as well as when the battery is charging or on standby. Smart BMS goes a step further and communicates with the bike. As a user, you only benefit from the smart BMS if the bike is prepared for it.

The battery performs best at a temperature of 25 – 30 degrees Celsius, but stays in best condition at lower temperatures. Preferably store the battery in a cool, dry environment when not in use.
Charge an empty battery immediately to prevent a deep discharge situation where the battery voltage drops below the level at which the battery can still register that the charger is connected.
