Product description
This charger is suitable for various Beaufort e-bikes with a Joycube JCEB360 / Phylion SF-03 36V battery with a 5-pin black plastic plug. The charger is used for various models (see below) and supports batteries with:
The charger provides a stable charging voltage of 42V at 2A charging current. This makes this version excellent for Joycube and Phylion battery systems with a 5-pin connection.
Original Sans quality
We supply the original Sans version. Sans produces the chargers also supplied by Phylion and Joycube. This means you choose the same technology, reliability, and compatibility as the original charger.
Depending on the version, the model number may end in XH, X, M, or M-01. The version with the XH designation supports both standard BMS and smart BMS systems.
Technically, this charger is identical to the well-known SSLC084V42XH from Phylion/Joycube with a 5-pin plug.
Why does a 42V charger go with a 36V battery?
Although the battery usually states 36V or 37V, a lithium-ion e-bike battery charges fully to about 42V. This is because 10 battery cells in series are each charged to a maximum of 4.2V: 10×4.2V=42V.
That is why Phylion and Joycube batteries in this category always use a 42V charger.
What does 2A charging current mean?
The 2A (2 ampere) designation indicates the charging current. This determines how fast the battery charges: 2A per hour.
In practice, charging an 11Ah battery takes about 5 to 6 hours on average.
Furthermore, most Phylion/Joycube batteries are not designed for fast charging with higher charging currents. A more powerful charger can therefore cause extra wear and shorten the battery’s lifespan.
Charging e-bike batteries and extending lifespan
Correct charging and storage have a major impact on the lifespan of an e-bike battery. By handling battery management wisely, you prevent unnecessary wear and maintain the range for longer.
