Yet there is no fixed age at which every battery needs replacing. A well-maintained battery can still offer enough range after many years, while a younger one may already cause problems because of unfavourable storage or a defect. What matters is whether you can still complete your usual rides reliably.<\/p><p>Charge cycles only tell part of the story. One full cycle means that, in total, you have used roughly the full battery capacity and charged it again. Using and recharging about half twice therefore amounts to roughly one cycle.
