Proper battery management is crucial for battery life and performance.<\/p>

\"Phylion<\/p>

Principles for good battery management:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

  1. The battery stays in good condition best through regular use (charging and discharging the battery). Insufficient use can lead to problems (imbalance between or even defective battery cells) resulting in loss of capacity.<\/span> <\/li>
  2. The battery wears out through use (= charging\/discharging) <\/span><\/span>and through age (= the chemical process in the battery cells).<\/span><\/li>
  3. The battery performs best at a temperature of approximately 25 degrees Celsius. This is where maximum battery capacity is reached. <\/li>
  4. The battery is best kept in good condition at low temperatures (above freezing point) because this is when the chemical aging process takes place most slowly.<\/li>
  5. If the battery is empty, it must be charged immediately to avoid deep discharge. Deep discharge occurs when the battery voltage drops below the level at which the battery management system still recognizes the connected charger. This makes charging impossible. <\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    The first<\/span> use of the battery<\/u><\/p>

    \"Phylion<\/p>

    Fully charge the battery before first use.<\/span>
    First connect the charger to the battery and then connect it to the mains (110V-240V). The charger will turn on with a click, and the red light will turn on. The red light will turn on again, and a green light will turn on when the charger has stopped charging. C<\/span>harging can be done either on or off the bike.<\/span> <\/p>

    Reaching full capacity<\/span>
    By initially partially discharging the battery 2-3 times and then charging it for 20-24 hours, you’ll reach maximum capacity. It’s a good idea to repeat this process about twice a year. <\/p>

    Extend battery life<\/span>
    Preferably don’t completely discharge the battery. This will prolong its lifespan. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    Charging and using the battery<\/b><\/u><\/p>

      • The battery can be charged both on the bike and indoors.<\/span><\/li>
      • Charge the battery regularly, but not more often than necessary. Unnecessary frequent charging increases battery wear. <\/span><\/li>
      • Regardless of use, the battery should be charged at least once every two months for approximately two hours. This applies even when the bike\/battery is not in use! <\/li>
      • A (nearly) empty battery should be charged immediately to prevent damage due to deep discharge.<\/li>
      • When the battery is not in use, store it in a cool, dry place.<\/li>
      • If a battery is not used for a longer period of time, it is best to store it at a charge level of approximately 50%.<\/li>
      • Store the battery in a dry and frost-free place<\/li>
      • You can check the battery status via the bike’s display or the LED indicators on the battery. The last indicator is red and only turns on when the battery is almost empty. <\/li>
      • Battery capacity decreases as it gets colder. Expect a decrease of approximately 1% per degree measured above 25 degrees Celsius. From zero degrees Celsius, the decrease can be greater. <\/li>

        • Only use the original charger to charge the battery.<\/li>
        • Do not connect the charger with wet hands and do not charge the battery in a damp environment.<\/li>
        • Do not cover the charger while charging<\/li>
        • The battery can be used\/charged safely at temperatures from -10 to +40 degrees Celsius<\/li>
        • Prevent the battery from overheating due to the sun or an external heat source.<\/li>
        • Do not use the battery or charger for other purposes<\/li>
        • Avoid short circuit when connecting the battery<\/li>
        • Prevent damage to the charger or battery by dropping or otherwise<\/li>
        • Do not open the battery without permission<\/li>
        • Do not connect the charger to the mains when it is not in use<\/li>
