A BMS (Battery Management System) is the electronics in the battery that monitors charging, discharging and temperature. A smart BMS also communicates with the bike’s control system via its own protocol. Whether your bike needs a smart BMS depends on the bike’s electrical system.<\/p>

A smart BMS always works. A standard BMS only works if the bike does not need a smart BMS. Tip: follow the configuration of your original battery.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Phylion XH370 with smart BMS has not been produced since the end of 2022. The XH370 series was succeeded by the almost identical EBG370 and, from model year 2026, by the renewed EBG360 (Joycube EBG360, Wall-E-S series). No. Joycube is a brand of Phylion that has existed for years and was previously used for OEM customers. From 2025, Phylion releases all of its bicycle batteries under the Joycube brand.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

A newly produced battery gives more certainty about its current condition, capacity and lifespan. With old or aged stock there is a real chance that the battery has already declined in quality due to long-term storage. No. The smart BMS from Phylion (Joycube) uses its own protocol to communicate with the bike’s controller. A different protocol will very likely not be recognised by the bike. That is why no alternative batteries are available for the original batteries with this system.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Keep the battery in good condition by using it regularly (charging and discharging). The battery performs best at 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, but stays in the best condition at lower temperatures. Store it in a cool, dry place when it is not in use. Charge an empty battery immediately to prevent deep discharge. Want to know more? You have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days, which means you have 14 days after receiving your order to inspect it and decide whether you want to keep the goods. The standard warranty period for bicycle batteries is 24 months and for chargers 12 months. RAP guarantees that the battery will still have at least 65% of its original capacity after 24 months.
