Product description
The Phylion XH370-14J smart BMS is no longer in production. As an alternative, this battery is now replaced by the technically improved 2026 generation. This updated model is the modern successor within the same battery series and offers improved battery technology, an updated BMS, and a better protected (waterproof) housing.
Due to Phylion’s unique/proprietary smart BMS that communicates with the bike’s electrical system (the bike’s software is tuned to this BMS), you can only replace the old XH370 with smart BMS with the new generation EBG360 with smart BMS.
The Phylion XH370 series belongs to the old generation and has been out of production for some time (2023). As a result, models like the XH370-13J and XH370-14J are still offered online, but in practice, this often involves older stock. If you’re looking for a new battery for this type, you’ll now end up with the technically improved 2026 generation or a suitable alternative.
The official successor to the older Phylion XH370 and Joycube EBG370 series is the Joycube EBG360. On this webshop, this model is also referred to as the Phylion XH370 updated 2026 version, as many users primarily search for the old model name XH370.
Many users are mainly familiar with the name Phylion XH370 and not the new official model name Joycube EBG360. Therefore, the EBG360 is often described as the XH370 updated 2026 version. This makes it clear that it’s the new generation battery replacing the older XH370 series.
An outdated XH370 battery has often been in stock for a long time. This can lead to lower capacity, shorter lifespan, and a higher chance of faster performance degradation. Therefore, a newly produced model is usually the better choice.
Yes, the Joycube EBG360 with smart BMS is intended as the successor to the older XH370-13J & XH370-14J with smart BMS as well as the EBG370 smart BMS within the same Wall-E-S battery series.
No, Phylion’s smart BMS is unique, and because it communicates with the bike’s electrical system (the software of which is tuned to this type of BMS), the battery can only be replaced by another battery with the Phylion smart BMS (UART type).
Phylion is the manufacturer behind this battery series. Joycube is the brand name currently used for a large portion of Phylion’s e-bike batteries. As a result, the same battery line often appears in older versions as Phylion XH370 or EBG370, while the newer generation is officially designated as Joycube EBG360.
Sometimes you still can, but it usually involves older stock. That’s why many users now prefer the technically improved 2026 generation or a suitable Volt Ride replacement battery.
The updated 2026 version is the better choice. This new generation is not only technically improved, but also more favorable because old XH370 batteries have often been in stock for a long time. Long-term storage compromises quality, capacity, and lifespan, making a newly produced model almost always the better choice in practice.
The Phylion XH370-14J smart BMS is used in various e-bikes with a battery from the Wall-E-S series and is also suitable as a successor to the older XH370-10J and XH370-12J with smart BMS. A battery with smart BMS works in all cases, even if the bike does not support smart BMS (the reverse does not apply, however).

Proper use of the battery is crucial for its lifespan and performance. The following principles are important:
